OUR POLICIES

 

REGISTRATIONS and CONFIRMATIONS

All registrations are handled in the order they are received. If you have trouble with our system, please hit the 'contact us' link and send an email stating your attempt to register and the location/day/time of the class. The time/date stamp on the email will establish your proper place in line in case there is a delay in reaching the Director. The same is true for phone messages.

You will receive a confirmation that your registration was received. Class Day and Time cannot be definitely confirmed until we reach the minimum number required for that class. Confirmations are sent out as quickly as possible. A lot of registrations come in the final week which causes a delay in some class confirmations. We apologize for this inconvenience, but it is not in our control.

  

COUPONS/GIFT CERTIFICATES

If you are entering a COUPON CODE, please make sure you push the blue link that says " Add Coupon" to adjust the price. Please check the updated pricing in the chart above to make sure it is correct BEFORE you go to the next page to pay. Click on "Contact Us" if you need help OR call 623-203-7616. If you are having system difficulties, Coupons will be honored if you email or call prior to the coupon deadline for assistance.

We cannot honor coupons that are not entered on-line. Please do not expect us to process a refund for your coupon because you forgot to use it. Refunds take a significant amount of time, as they require processing and documentation in three different systems. It is unfair to cause us extra time and work to issue discounts.

CHANGING CLASSES

Please check your schedule carefully before registering. Switching classes after the session starts is not guaranteed. A $15 fee may incur to cover data processing time, reprinting the class rosters for two classes, and labor in placing them in multiple locations. We require minimum enrollment for each class to uphold the quality of our educational program. We cannot make changes after the session starts that leave classes short. We cannot give refunds because your schedule changes. Our costs remain the same. We will work with you to the extent that we are able, but cannot make guarantees on changes.

If you need to change your class time PRIOR to the REFUND deadline, i.e., by the MONDAY of the WEEK PRIOR to your class start date, there is no charge.  Starting on TUESDAY of the WEEK PRIOR to class start date, the charge will apply if classes have been confirmed and rosters printed. 

TEACHER CHANGES

If a teacher has an unavoidable change in schedule or health that could not have been foreseen, we reserve the right to replace her with one of our other qualified teachers. Since you are registering for the educational program and will still receive quality instruction, an emergency teacher change does not qualify for a refund.

MAKE-UP CLASSES

MAKE-UPS can be arranged based on location and current classes available. Any Desert Mountain Music location may be used. (Ahwatukee, Chandler, Gilbert, Prescott, Prescott Valley.) We have an on-line Make-up Scheduler that shows all locations available and current choices. Two make-ups per session are allowed and must be completed by END of current session. (We are temporarily offering a BONUS make-up, so you can schedule 3.) Make-ups cannot be carried over to a new session. Make-up choices are limited to the current classes in session. We have no control over the number of classes, locations and times available. Classes missed on the last week of the session have no make-ups available unless you can do one in the same week. No credits will be given.

REFUNDS

NO REFUNDS after the Monday of the WEEK PRIOR to Session Start Date  unless class doesn't hold. There is a $20 CANCELLATION FEE, (unless class is canceled) on any withdrawals PRIOR to the DEADLINE, to cover labor for data processing of original registration, withdrawal and refund. On TUESDAY, of the WEEK PRIOR to your class start date, all registrations are considered "firm". Tuition is considered "earned and due" since final class placements are made, space is rented/paid and teacher commitments are made. Refunds can only be given if YOU refer someone specifically to take your place, and only for the amount of weeks paid for by the new family. Cancellation fee still applies.

In extreme emergency cases which are beyond human control, i.e., mandatory pregnancy bedrest or prolonged hospitalization, of half a session or more (must be consecutive weeks), a partial credit may be issued at the Director's discretion. Any and all communications concerning emergency situations must be timely and immediate, not at the end of a session.

 


Personal Note:

We are all much more friendly, caring, and supportive than the written policies make us sound. But, we can't stay in business and remain solvent without policies that allow us to do so. Clear communication is essential. In the spirit of fair play and non-partiality, we cannot waive the policies because of personal feelings. We must remain fair and equitable to all.

To our returning families, there have been no changes to our policies, we've just attempted to clarify them.
